Online quotes are based on the property details you provide. If the actual site is materially different (size, storeys, access, scope), the inspector will confirm the price change with you before the inspection occurs.
You must organise safe access to the property at the agreed time. This includes getting the builder or agent’s permission if it is needed. If the site is not accessible when the inspector arrives, a call-out fee might apply.
Each inspection involves a visual, non-invasive check of the accessible areas on the day. The process follows the relevant Australian Standard and matches the description on the service page you booked. Concealed, obstructed or inaccessible spots are excluded and mentioned in the report.
Reports are written for the client who paid for them. The report shows the state of the property when the inspection happened. These reports are not a warranty. They do not cover future defects. Do not use the report if you are not the client, unless we agree in writing.
Payment is required prior to the report being released, unless we agree to a different arrangement in writing. All fees include GST.
You can cancel or change the booking at no cost if you give at least 24 hours' notice. A fee for the inspector's time may apply for later cancellations.
We limit our legal liability to the amount of the fee for the inspection or report. This rule does not remove any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law.
